Ruth Burke writes… “Each Image is a reflection of Moments Created and Frozen in Time, To be shared by many thereafter”

Fine art photographer Ruth Burke creates photographic “etchings of life” that become her “printing plate” from which she makes an archival print.  She looks to capture that "something special" in a location or subject. She perfers when possible to make her own pigment ink prints from her original captured images.

She opened the first Seaside Gallery in 1989 at 1105 2nd St., in an old section of Seabrook, Texas. After 10 years, she moved the gallery to its current site in Taylor Lake Village, Texas. The gallery features many of Burke’s fine art images that involve the sea: its movements, wildlife and the light on the water. Images from her travels in the United States, Europe and Central America are also included in her collection. Burke also enjoys sharing what she’s learned with others. She hosts photography workshops and has had articles published on the subject.

Ruth Burke has many published credits to her name since she began selling her photography in 1979. Her stock images of the Texas Gulf Coast cover the past three decades.

It was Ruth’s collection of historic images of Seabrook, Texas USA that led to a book project in 2010 with Arcadia Publishing, which specializes in books that showcase communities’ histories through photography.

A Ruth Burke print is authenticated by her signature in silver metallic ink. A “Certificate of Authenticity” is included with each print.
